one day you'll hear this song
and understand that all along there's something more that i'm trying to say. oh, harry. oh, harry. why can't you see what you're doing to me.
It was just an average day in Woodkeep for young Emeline, who was finishing up her preparations to head into town. She had planned to buy some basic necessities from the local market, such as food and clothing. Having been away from her family for a full year, the girl had learned to manage money and provide for herself, becoming incredibly independent. The girl had finally gotten ready while staring at her reflection in her bedroom mirror, taking a deep breathe and releasing it slowly before walking out of her small house, a small bag slung over her shoulder as she began wandering into town. The market had been bustling with many people, she noticed, holding her bag close to her side as she wandered her way through the crowd. As she was about to head towards a food stand, she suddenly overheard two gossiping women muttering to themselves in excitement.
"Did you hear? A dragon had finally laid clutch!" One elderly woman spoke, while the other beamed a smile of joy.
"Is that true?! That is wonderful! We must go see!" Said the second woman, causing the first to follow and giggle happily like a child.
Emeline's eyes grew wide as she watched the two women make their way to the Sand Pit, where she believed the said dragon laid her eggs. Her eyes sparkled with curiosity and wonder, forgetting all about the fact that she was going shopping and rushed to the clutch grounds with the rest of the eager residents. However, just as she reached the Sand Pit, the dark haired female yelped as she lost her footing and bumped into someone, growing wide eyed with a look of panic on her face.
"I'm so sorry! Please forgive me!" She apologized, bowing politely towards the figure.
