Even though she should be at home helping father, Elexzra couldn't resist taking Azazel to the beach for the first time. He'd been all cooped up in the quarters and tired from training daily, she thought he deserved a break for the day. Maybe herself as well? Thus a trip to the beach! Her silver-ling couldn't fly yet, so, they had to walk the whole way. Which in itself is relaxing too. However, not as relaxing when your companion refuses to shush. The whole way the young Dragon kept asking questions. "Elexzra where are we going? Aren't we supposed to visit your father today? Elexzra? Hello? Will you answer me?!" It was a talent, being able to block out Azazel's nonstop questioning of everything.
Yet, when she felt a tug at her skirt she stopped and turned to look at him. His icy glare only magnified by his words. "I demand an explanation. Where are we going? Tell me this instant or I will drag you to your father's." Elexzra only gave a soft smile to her bound companion and reached her arms out to him, only to gently hug his head. Much like with a horse, except she was on her knees to do so. Stroking the bridge of his nose she spoke gently all the same. "It's okay Azazel. We're going some place you've never been before. A surprise okay? So be patient and maybe I'll hunt down a fish for you if you're good?" He gave a huff, but said nothing more as she stood herself back up, brushing her knees off. Turning herself back around as she began walking down the path again, Azazel closely glued to her side.
She had noticed his growth spurts lately, he'd been eating much more than usual lately. Maybe she should ask if it's normal at the rate he's going? Taking a deep breath she let out a giggle as they neared the sandy shore. Stopping to turn to Azazel again her smile remained stricken sweet. "Azzy, what do you smell?" At first he looked at her like she was an idiot, but nonetheless he sniffed the air. Only to wrinkle his nose in disgust. "Salt blocks...are you making me eat one of those nasty things again!" Shaking her head Elexzra slipped off her sandals and placed them in her pouch, buckling it so it'd stay shut. Again she began walking and this tike she entered onto the sandy shores, the ocean lapping at the edges of the sand. Looking back at her silver companion she gave a soft laugh at his reaction.
At first it was one of utter shock, his eyes widened and his mouth slightly opened in awe. Then it turned to that of hesitation, until, he saw she was on the sand. Only then did he hastily make his way back to her side as he walked funny. Much like a dog with booties on for the first time. When he saw the ocean though Azazel walked towards it. Even going as far as putting in a good flap to make a good jump and landing in the water. Elexzra followed him, the wind blowing her hair back as she kicked some water at Azazel. Quickly he turned to face her and hit the water with his wings to get her back. Laughing loudly she ran away from him, only to be followed in close pursuit by him.

As the two began to play on the beach, ripples could be seen surfacing on top of the water not too far off. If they looked properly, a dark shadow began to ride to the surface, only for a massive Bronze dragon to burst forth from the depths of the sea. Water splashed in all directions as he surfaced, flapping his giant wings so he was hovering atop the ocean while faning the beach with air. Sand was whipped up everywhere, and Ereneth didn't seem to care. "Ereneth! You're getting sand all over the place! Tone it down a bit, you dramatic beast!" A deep voice called from nearby, and the dragon rolled his eyes before splashing back into the depths once again. A man in riding leathers and boots appeared on the beach then, with a patch covering one eye. His good eye looked around while he smiled. Upon seeing the girl and her dragon, however, his smile dropped and he bowed politely toward them both. "I'm terribly sorry, I hope Ereneth didn't blast you with too much water and sand. He loves being dramatic, that bastard. Then again I guess you can't blame him, can you?" A laugh escaped him then, and his smile returned. |

Completely oblivious, Elexzra was, but Azazel on the other hand was not. He immediately stopped in place and looked over towards the water. Watching the bubbles that took presence within the waves, however, he wasn't expecting a giant dragon bursting out. His icy blues watched as his wings waved about and it had the young silver boy wondering if he would eventually get as big. Only for a brief second did he think that before his head whipped around to look towards Elexzra, her eyes wide and arms loose to her sides. Quickly he rushed to Elexzra, wrapping his body around her feet in a little protective circle. Pulling up his scalely lips, exposing his teeth I'm aggression towards the giant bronze.
Elexzra on the other hand focused on a voice that yelled out to the giant dragon. Her bright eyes falling on a man, wearing leather and an eye patch. When she finally noticed whom it was it was already too late. Azazel spread his wings in a threatening display and hissed at the man. Elexzra instantly smacked the silver boy in the head and then tipped her torso in a bow. Hair falling past her ears as she shut her eyes in embarrassment. The silver male had other things in mind, however, as his icy eyes sent death glares towards the unknown man. "Azazel stop...king...it's the king." She whispered to her bonded dragon.
When he finally got the gist of what was going on he bend his neck down in submission. His glare still remaining as his eyes darted about looking for the bronze male. When the king apologized Elexzra shot up, face bright red and her hands slightly shaking. "Oh no sire it's completely fine! It's Azazel who should be apologizing and myself! He's still young please forgive him." His smile threw her off a bit as he even called his dragon such a thing. Noticing Azazel was still on edge she gave a sigh and nelt down to stroke his head again. Only to receiving hissing sounds from him in return. "He really is a good boy sire. Please forgive him." Her words were shaky and finally the silverling looked up in slight worry. "El-Elexzra? Sorry...I'm sorry..." He knew very well that he had just caused her to possibly have an anxiety attack.
Nudging into her leg gently he placed his head on her lap as his eyes focused on her face. All he could see though was her fear and looking up at the king. Giving a huff he stared at the guy once more, but still looked about for the giant as he waited for things to go down.

'Get off of it, you lazy good-for-nothing oaf. I was just having some fun with the children.' Ereneth muttered into his mind, to which Damien only laughed and waved a dismissive hand. The Bronze swam off, deciding he was too good to deal with annoying brats and small human children. Not that he was actually as mean as he sounded; truth be told Ereneth felt bad for scaring the two younger creatures. Damien walked toward the pair on the beach, smiling at the defensive Silver. "Don't apologize! It's good to see that your bonded has such an attachment to you. Even though he's young, I see great potential. From the both of you, that is!" His smile never wavered as he looked around in a small pouch on his hip for something. Eventually he pulled out a slab of raw meat and held it up for the dragon to see. "I'm not so bad, I promise. You want some meat? Cross my heart it's the best stuff you'll find on the island. Ereneth would kill me for giving it away, so please, do take it alright? Let's call it an even trade for scaring the living daylights out of you both." At this he paused, chucking the meat toward the dragon to eat if he wanted to. |

Elexzra's eyebrows furrowed in confusion and Azazel tilted his head to such a feeling also, the king had such a different reaction than they thought her would. However, she gave a warmed smile at his words all the same, nodding in agreement. "Yes, we've been attached to the hip since he hatched. It was a bit of a shock really..." It was true she never expected to be blessed with such a rare boy. She had no seen many silvers, only Azazel and the kings bronze. That was the first time ever also. The potential put had her blushing lightly in slight flattery while Azazel gave a sharp click.
"Of course she's got potential. I wouldn't pick some worthless human grandpa." Elexzra tapped Azzy on the nose as she gave him a warning glare. When she turned to look at the king though her face fell slat with curiosity. Only when he pulled out the slab of meat did the silver boy show good interest in the king. His wings folded and his pupils widened as he looked at it keenly. Giving light nods as he watched it, when it went flying in the air his pupils slit and he hopped up to grab it. Quickly scurrying back to Elexzra's side as he held it tightly in his teeth.
Standing back up she brushed the sand from her knees and dipped her head. "Azzy say thank you please." The little boy gave a chirped series and swallowed down the slab within mere minutes. Sliding his forked tongue over his lips as he had a softer look towards the leathered man. "He's been eating so much lately sire. I've been hunting maybe three four times a day just to tide hin over. Is...is that normal?" Giving an offended look the silverling looked away. "Oh course it's normal! If I'm hungry, I'm hungry!" His tone defensive as he listened for what the meat carrying guy had to say.

"Yes, Silvers are somewhat rare around here. Kind of like Golds and Bronzes. Although Silvers Imprint upon anyone while the others seem to only choose those of the royal bloodline. It's strange; not even my Ereneth knows why his kind prefers us. But that's just the way the cookie crumbles. And believe me, you don't want a Gold around. They're worse than their bonded." At this he laughed, thinking about the Gold his mother once had when she was still alive. It seemed that the smaller dragon appreciated the meat, but he still wasn't so sure about Damien. The king played it off, waving a dismissive hand toward the girl as she apologized. "Don't worry! Young dragons eat more than half their body weight in a month's time. By the time they turn five years old they'll have reached their full height and weight and are generally done growing. Essentially, five is when they turn into adults."He chuckled, throwing another piece of meat to the Silver. "So yes, it's completely normal. If he's hungry, feed him. Anything is fine, so long as it's good meat. Bad meat will just make him sick, as it would you or I." |

She nodded as she listened to him speak of bronze dragons and golds too. Their tastes in humans how she shouldn't meet a gold. Giving a light giggle she looked at Azazel with a pointed expression. Suggesting he too could be just as bad, but he wasn't paying attention at the moment. The information about Azazel eating so much had her breath releasing as she just noticed she was holding it back slightly. Her expression of relief very clear on her face and she watched as the king tree more meat Azazel's wag and she watched as Azazel caught it quickly. Pulling it closer to himself with happy chirping. Elexzra nodded a few more times as he said bad meat made them sick just as humans. She sort of believed it, but sort of didn't.
One time he found slightly bad meat and ate it anyways. For the first few hours he was fine, but he had to stay in his nest for the next few hours. Then fine the next day. Other than that he ate everything he could. "Ele's I like this guy he gives food." Her smile warmed rather quickly as she laughed at his words. Well at least he is honest. The usually silent girl found herself gasping and did a few little bows before standing up straight. "Pardon my rudeness, I'm Elexzra Baylentine sire. My father is Gravel Baylentine the widower sir."
Her heart didn't sink when saying her father was a widower. It was just now a part of life that her mother was not with them. Elexzra knew her father was doing just fine, but he said to always introduce whom your lines came from. That's what he said anyways, but she always felt weird about it. Not to mention she didn't exactly know how he made money most the time. So she had to say widower instead of an occupation. Sometimes she didn't get society edicate.

Damien smiled, glad to see that the little dragon was beginning to warm up to him. Or, well, it seemed like he was warming up to him. He couldn't hear what the dragon was saying, but it seemed that he was turning a better eye to Damien than he had from the beginning. The girl, Elexzra, introduced herself as the daughter of a widower and Damien frowned. "I'm sorry for your loss. I hope your father is doing well, however."But it wasn't really fun to say you were the daughter of a widower, was it? He smiled then, crossing his arms over his chest while pondering what he would say next. "But that's not a good way to introduce yourself, you know? It's depressing! You should say 'Hi, I'm Elexzra. the rider of Silver...' well, whatever your dragon's name is! That's much happier! And it shows your pride for your position in the world." |

When the king frowned Elexzra sport a look of slight confusion. Only until he gave his sympathy and hoped her father was doing fine. Giving a smile she nodded. "Yes, sire. He's doing just fine." With her help that is. If she wasn't around, he'd be a chicken running around with its head cut off. Maybe that's why he couldn't find a stable job? Drifting from the thought her face fell blank as he said that her introduction was depressing. Looking to Azazel her face looked unsure, but then she looked back to the man.
"I'm...the rider of Azazel..." Her voice soft and questioning. She didn't really like to say she was Azazel's rider. It sound more like she possessed him and owned him. Yet, she went along with it.

Damien smiled, even though it seemed odd for the girl to introduce herself as the rider of Azazel. Some people thought it was odd, especially new riders like Elexzra. But she'd get used to it; everyone eventually did. In his mind his own Bronze was prodding at his mind because he wanted to be bathed and scratched, and overhead a large shadow could be seen as the male made his way back to the beach. He landed a few feet away from their area so as not to spray them all with sand. "Azazel. A wonderful name for a wonderful Silver dragon. Miss Elexzra, I do hope you and your bonded have a nice time at the beach! It's a lovely day for playing around and I'd love to stay, but the big lug over there is begging for a bath. If there's anything you ever need of me, don't hesitate to come see me at the castle alright?" Damien bowed lightly toward the female, smiling once more before walking off to jump on top of his dragon. Then he waved and took off, soon disappearing into the bright sunny sky.
