Sho is like a human version of a feline. Quiet, cunning, patient, he doesn't waste energy running all over the place to kiss ass and get to where he wants to be. Sho wold much rather tease the prey into running right to him. He doesn't speak much or often. If he had his way, he wouldn't really speak at all. Talking waste's energy and he abores stupid people and talking to them. Anyone who doesn't share his opinions are often deemed stupid. Sho doesn't like putting his foot in his mouth and he does trim his words and try not to say the wrong thing. He keeps his head down to avoid trouble when he has to and he has no problem setting someone else up for a fall. If the mistake is his, Sho is honorable in that respect. He will own up to insulting someone for example but he will have a list of reasons why he believe his comments are correct.
Sho would've made a great war lord in a past life. He is very organized and has a methodical tactical mind. Taking risks is a necessity at times but he prefers planning things out instead of jumping into the unknown. So there's no telling if he would've the best or winning war lord. So instead his mind has made him a rather wealthy merchant. He likes staying with what he is familiar with and change must be introduced gradually. Sho is territorial with his room, personal belongings and dragon. Any lover will be guarded and better be ready for some possessive behavior. He doesn't like sharing so monogamy sits the best with him and he doesn't quite understand poly relationships. Sho exudes confidence in his decisions. He rarely truly regrets things and just lets mistakes roll off his back. He thinks himself fairly perfect but if he messes up? Well someone, somewhere messed up worse than him so why are you so upset about it? He does need some sense smacked into him on that point.

history
Sho was born in Woodkeep to a family of elite merchants. Growing up wealthy had it's perks as he rarely wanted for anything. His playmates were fellow cousins or butlers though and his overbearing personality didn't win him many friends. Books were his best friends and he'd spend hours trying to pen his own short stories. They weren't very good and he was encouraged to learn about the family's shipping business instead.
Sho had very little interest in becoming a dragonrider. He viewed the beasts as large, stupid and inconvenient for a merchant to bond with. Anyone else too for that matter. He took an apprenticeship under his uncle, helping keep books and slowly learning the ins and outs of bartering and transfer goods across the kingdom. Sho had never planned on being bonded to a dragon so when a dizzy orange climbed up into the stands and chose him. He might have been trying to get on the good side of a supplier but it wasn't worth getting a dragon over.
Their first few years were quite fun. At least for Persia. She loved her rider but he was being stubborn and not fully accepting her boundless affection. After a nice long discussion that may or may not have involved her sitting on Sho until he listened, things proved to be much smoother. The orange stuck her nose into far to many things and Sho came out of his cold shell bit by bit. They've found a nice balance, though Persia has a few more plots to implement to continue improving her riders life.
