►A ROYAL PARTY
With the recent clutch resting on the sands, Damien had made sure to check on the eggs every day. Sometimes he'd go more than once, which both annoyed and worried Ereneth. Really, they were just eggs and it wasn't as if they were going anywhere. But the king was a stupid fool who wanted to keep the unborn babies safe, and made sure to check the temperature of the sands with each visit.
Once he was sure they were well taken care of, he'd bring food for the Red and her rider (since they rarely left the sands at all now) and conversed with the rider before leaving to take on the rest of the day's events. But he'd been wanting to do something for the new arrivals, and it finally occurred to him just what he should do to signal new life within Woodkeep. After much preparation and annoyed glares from his Bronze, Damien Klein announced something wonderful to the people that were gathered outside of the castle the next morning.
"Good morning everyone! I hope you've all been well. As you must know, we've been blessed with a wonderful clutch of healthy eggs on the sands! I've been personally checking on each, and they seem to be growing wonderfully. Who knows when we'll have a new batch of dragonriders in our keep? While we aren't sure as to when they will hatch, I wanted to celebrate this blessing with a feast and a party for everyone on the island!" Damien called, getting a roar of approval and excitement in return.
He held his hands up, and silence filled the air. He looked down on his people from the balcony he stood from, overlooking the island from his own office within the castle. "That being said, the party will commence at sundown this evening! So if you're able, please bring your family and yourselves to the castle courtyard and prepare to have a wonderful night! Thank you all, and I hope to see you tonight!" At this Damien bowed and returned to his quarters, preparing himself and the castle for the upcoming event.
OOC: This is just a pre-event before the hatching starts. It's a chance for characters to mingle without needing a reason why! Only post if you feel like it; the courtyards have been decorated in reds and golds and all other manner of colors, while large tables are filled with food and drinks galore. There's even a section atop the castle set up for the dragons to mingle and eat meat! So have fun and meet people!~
