For all intents and purposes, Klara is your average teenager. She's a little more subdued than most, but she still likes to go out and have fun. Being too social drains her quite easily and she does prefer to be by herself, but every now and again she wants to go out and find out what kind of trouble she can get into. She by no means lets her disability get in her way. It was so long ago that she hardly remembers what it was like without it. Well, that's not entirely true but she has come a long way. Years ago she was withdrawn and shy, but now she can handle most social situations.
Some people curl up and surrender when things get hard. Klara is not one of those. Beneath her soft features and kind smiles is a stone interior. The first few years of coping with her condition were difficult, but she pulled herself together. She can sometimes have a quick wit and is fairly scrappy, and she doesn't let a lot bring her down. Her only mental weak spot is how much she feels she's worth. She only has a few skills and she doesn't really believe that they can come in handy. Sometimes she doesn't even know how a dragon could stand to imprint on her, but she holds out hope. She tends to care a bit too much what people think of her, but she perseveres anyway.
One day, as times become more modern, they'll give Klara's condition a name. That name may or may not be Prosopagnosia, but for the time being it is simply known as "Face Blindness." Some people have a hard time remembering faces and associating them with the right name. After her accident, Klara cannot, no matter how long she's known a person or how often she's together with them, recognize a person's face. It could be her mother, her best friend, or some stranger on the street. There is no way she could tell just by trying to recognize their face. She will be forever plagued by strange faces looking at her. She has learned to cope, but some days are harder than others.

family history
For the most part she was brought up with fine morals and her parents loved her. She grew up as a curious young child, and it was this innate curiosity that got her into trouble. Klara was always getting into things that she shouldn't have, leaving her parents or their dragons to look after her constantly. It was when she got a little too curious when no one was around that caused her life to turn upside down. It was during a family picnic. They had the whole day to themselves and went out to have a fun time outside. At the time, Klara was thirteen and her baby brother was not far behind. She wandered off a little too far from everyone and ended up falling off a short cliff.
She was pretty badly wounded, but the worst of it was a head wound. She rushed off to the healer's and they cared for her the best she could, predicting a full recovery. She was bed ridden and mostly unconscious for several days while she healed, but she did eventually wake up again. However, upon seeing her parents, she immediately started to cry and shout, unable to recognize who the people before her were. At first they thought she had lost her memory, but further tests showed that it was just her facial recognition that had suffered. It wasn't something the doctors had heard of happening before and they sent word to other kingdoms. There were recordings of it happening every few hundred people depending on the accident.
Getting used to never being able to recognize faces was difficult. She lost a lot of her old friends and took a severe hit to her self-esteem. She started looking for other ways to manage, though, and became extremely observant of the world around her. Instead of relying solely on facial recognition like most people, she started to rely on memorizing other things like facial hair, hair styles, body type, mannerisms and gait. The condition didn't extend to dragons, either, so she began to tell people apart depending on what dragon they were always hanging around. Her life was back on track and had a sort of order to it once again. She still to this day feels extremely uneasy around heights, but that hasn't stopped her from sitting in to check on egg clutches now and again.
Now Klara occupies her time with helping out around her parents' floral shop. She sells bouquets, flower arrangements, and even a lot of potted plants. Under the training of her green-thumbed mother (her father dealt with the more business aspect of the little shop), she even gives out guidance to those who are looking to start their own herb or flower gardens. The family tends to stay away from vegetables or other food plants so they're not stealing from the farmers, but occasionally they get their hands on a fruit tree or some grape vines that they sell. It's a good gig and Klara really enjoys working with all of the different plants, and it usually fills her social needs for the day.
